　　“My dear friend Michael, how are you doing?”Thomas 张开双手，做了一个极度欢迎的动作。

　　“Very well, how about you? You look good.”方浩儒边和Thomas握手，边打量着他那张泛着红光的胖脸。
　　意思：我很好，你怎么样？看起来不错啊！

　　“This is a fantastic place, I always feel very relaxed, If you stay with us, you will see what I mean.”Thomas一时不明方浩儒的来意，只能先为自己的球会做做场面上的宣传。
　　意思：噢，这里是个绝妙的地方，让我倍感放松！如果你常来这里和我们一起，你会明白我的感觉。
　　方浩儒不会在这个法裔美国人身上浪费太多的时间，他自顾自地坐到了Thomas大班台前其中一个皮椅上，“Absolutely, I will, if something possible.”

　　“Right… Do me a favor, my friend brought me some cigars, you know the Gurkha Black Dragon, a terrific brand. However, I do not smoke anymore, so I hope you enjoy them. They are located at the Great Wall Club, same locker you are familiar with.”方浩儒说着，掏出了一个放着雪茄柜钥匙卡的小信封，放在了他和Thomas之间的台面上。
　　意思：好吧！帮我个忙，我的朋友送了我一些雪茄，你知道Gurkha Black Dragon，一个很好的牌子，可惜我已经不吸烟了，因此希望你能喜欢。它们就在长城俱乐部，你知道的那个雪茄柜。
　　“Oh God! You are killing me with my favorite poison…I love cigars, they bring me great satisfaction, However, I’m now an old man and such vices always give me a headache… My friend, do you know of a remedy that can provide me some relief?”Thomas希望他尽快亮出底牌。

　　“关子”卖得差不多了，方浩儒也明白，Thomas一直在等着他摊牌。“Another suggestion, is regarding one of your staff from Membership Services, Miss Rosie Chen, I strongly suggest transferring her to another department, perhaps the back office. I am sure you will not have any further headaches.”

　　Thomas感到有些意外。在刚刚的几分钟内，他预想了很多种可能，但都没有跟哪个人联系在一起。难道是这个员工得罪了方浩儒？不，不太可能，如果是这样，他要想解决这个问题并不需要自掏腰包。或者，不管自己接不接受，他至少可以直接提出要求，要让这个女孩立即消失。

　　“Watch your wording, business man.”方浩儒大笑，“By the way, I would not want for others to misunderstand my goodwill. People are always interested in some ridiculous gossip, if such rumors begin to circulate, I would want to seem to be an innocent person.”
　　意思：注意用词，商人！……顺便说一句，我不希望别人误解我的好意。人们总是对一些荒诞的流言蜚语更感兴趣。如果诸如此类的桃色谣言散播出去，那我可就太冤了！
